Sourcing, vetting, relationships

We don't rent capacity. We build it.

Carrier network size is a flex from the archives; the whole industry pulls from the same pool. We win on vetting and on the relationships we build with the carriers who clear it. A carrier who runs your lane well gets offered that lane again, and the next one. Over time your freight moves on a bench of carriers who already know the facility, the dock and the product.

That bench is what you feel when the market tightens: the carrier takes our call first, the rate holds because it was fair on both sides to begin with, and reloads on recurring weekly freight get answered the same day. New customers with regular lanes see the difference early.

Authority, insurance and safety history verified before dispatch. Identity and ownership confirmed to shut out double-brokering and freight fraud. Performance monitored load over load, not once at onboarding.

Sourcing
From all the latest technology to customs, as old as time. We exhaust all the resources at our disposal to source the right carriers for your lanes and freight.
Vetting
We vet through Highway, now the industry standard. Carrier identity, authority, insurance, and safety scores are cross-referenced with the FMCSA and DOT databases. Ownership and identity are confirmed to keep your freight out of the hands of thieves and off of a double-brokered trailer. Carrier411's FreightGuard reports sit behind all that for performance history. If a carrier has a recent claim, fraudulent activity, or a bad report from another agency office, they don't get your load, even when the market is tight and it'd be easier just to say yes.
Relationships
We reward a job well done with more of it: the same lane, then other lanes. We agree on a rate and keep it fair on both sides. We write referrals for the carriers who earn them, and we name a Carrier of the Month.

International

From the plant floor overseas to the consignee's dock here.

Origin drayage, consolidation, steamship or air, customs, destination drayage, transload and inland line-haul — coordinated as one move under one point of contact, not handed between four vendors who each blame the last one.

We hold partners in every major port and rail city in North America, and association memberships that open doors a domestic-only brokerage doesn't have.

Incoterms 2020

Know exactly where the freight stops being theirs.

Eleven terms decide who pays, who insures, who clears customs and who eats the loss if a box goes overboard. Pick one and watch where the handover lands.

What we handle across the water

Imports & exports

One move, one contact, both directions.

Inbound, we meet the box at the port and carry it to the consignee: clearance, drayage, transload, line-haul. Outbound, we start at the plant floor: pickup, blocking and bracing verified before the doors close, consolidation, and the container delivered to the terminal in time to make the cut-off.

Ask us early. The freight decisions that cost the most money get made before anything is packed.

{{ shot.alt }}

A question worth asking before your next order: are you shipping components separately when they could be assembled before they ship?

Multiple part shipments from one origin mean multiple entries, multiple drayage moves, multiple chances for one late piece to hold up the whole build. Sometimes that's the right call. Often it isn't, and nobody has run the numbers.

Through our memberships with established trade associations abroad, we can source secure, vetted facilities in the country of origin. Customers buying components from several manufacturers in the same market can have those components consolidated and assembled before they ship.

Agents

You built the book. Go run it as your own agency.

For top producers at large brokerages who are done handing their margin to a corporate P&L. You bring the customers and the judgment. SPI brings the authority, the credit, the back office and the tech, and then stays out of your way.

Under 80 agency offices across the network, so the customer base stays open and you aren't fighting three colleagues for the same shipper. Our support staff came out of the same big-box brokerages you're leaving.

Nothing you send goes anywhere near your current employer. We'll talk through your book, what support you'd want, and what the split looks like for a producer at your volume.

Lane Desk

Check an appointment against the driver's clock before you commit to it.

Enter the lane and the times. Lane Desk runs the federal hours-of-service limits over the trip and tells you the earliest the load can deliver, the latest it can pick up, and whether the appointment on the table is actually reachable.

Lane Desk is a planning estimate, not an electronic logging device record or a compliance document. Mileage is derived from ZIP centroids with a highway circuity factor and will differ from routed miles. Drive time assumes an average planning speed and does not account for traffic, weather, construction, terrain or facility delays. The driver and the motor carrier remain solely responsible for hours-of-service compliance under 49 CFR Part 395.
